Role Description

Turn your university experience into career experience. Want to build your CV, develop your communication and marketing skills, and help other students get more from the digital learning tools available to them? We’re looking for enthusiastic, creative and reliable students to join us as Cengage Student Ambassadors.

This is a flexible, paid opportunity designed to fit around your studies. You’ll become a student voice for Cengage at your university, helping fellow students get started with and make effective use of Cengage digital learning products. Along the way, you’ll gain practical experience in areas including:

• Marketing
• Content creation
• Communication
• Peer support
• Student engagement

What will you do? As a Cengage Student Ambassador, you’ll help students at your university get the most from the Cengage products available to them. Your activities could include:

• Helping fellow students get started with and use Cengage digital learning products
• Supporting student onboarding sessions, in-class activities, demonstrations or peer Q&As
• Creating social media content about Cengage products, student activities and your experience as an Ambassador
• Writing student-focused content about your experience of digital learning
• Creating a short video or testimonial about your experience with Cengage
• Sharing authentic feedback and student perspectives with our team
• Supporting selected Cengage marketing or student engagement activities
• Attending training sessions and programme check-ins with the Cengage team

You won't be expected to know everything from day one. We'll provide training and guidance to help you understand our products, plan your activities and make the most of the programme.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD student
• Study at an institution using a relevant Cengage digital learning product
• Confident and friendly communicator
• Enjoy helping and engaging with other students
• Organised, reliable and comfortable managing your own time
• Can work independently and meet agreed deadlines
• Interested in creating content or using social media
• Comfortable getting involved in student-facing activities

Experience with social media, video creation, presenting, student societies, peer support or campus activities would be useful, but isn't essential.

Requirements

• Approximately 26–37 hours across the programme
• Attend three online training sessions and a programme check-in

Payment

This is a paid opportunity. Depending on programme length and location, Ambassadors will receive:

• £350 (or local equivalent) for the shorter/pro-rated programme
• £500 (or local equivalent) for the full programme

Payments will be made in stages during the programme, subject to completion of the agreed activities.
