[Hiring] Brand Relations Manager @Kaufland e-commerce

Role Description

Your tasks – this is what awaits you in detail:

• You take full ownership of building and growing your portfolio of Chinese brand partners and translate this into aligned annual plans.
• You drive co-marketing campaigns and retail media monetization end-to-end; from briefing through execution to post-campaign analysis for your brand portfolio.
• You make data-driven decisions in your daily business: you track KPIs such as retail media revenue, campaign ROI and brand-driven GMV, and derive concrete actions from them.
• You identify new potential Chinese brands based on market data and competitive analysis, attend relevant trade fairs, and actively build your acquisition pipeline.
• You are the linguistic and cultural bridge between Chinese brand partners and internal teams (Product Management, Key Account Management, Marketing, Finance) - including coordination across time zones.
• You grow into a subject matter expert in a selected topic area within Brand Relations.

Qualifications

• You have a successfully completed university degree in a business-related field.
• You have solid professional experience (approx. 2–4 years) in e-commerce or retail, ideally in sales, business development, or vendor/category management; initial experience with Chinese brand partners is a plus.
• You bring a sound understanding of brand partnership models, co-marketing mechanics, and retail media monetization.
• You convince with proven sales and negotiation skills and feel confident engaging with brand decision-makers.
• You have a data-driven, structured way of working and handle large data sets in Excel with ease; Tableau skills are a plus.
• You take a hands-on approach to modern AI tools (such as Claude, n8n, FACE) to boost your efficiency in communication, presentations, and data analysis.
• You are fluent in Mandarin and have very good English skills (C1); German is a plus.
• You possess strong intercultural competence and are willing to travel (trade fairs, potentially China).
