[Hiring] Brand Operations Specialist @Thumbtack

Role Description

We are looking for a Brand Operations Specialist to build and lead the operational foundation of the Brand organization at Thumbtack. This is the launch of a new discipline—and this person will define it from the ground up.

• Develop systems, workflows, tooling, automations, and governance models for the Brand team.
• Utilize advanced AI for building smart systems, automating tasks, and enhancing organizational operations.
• Partner closely with technical teams to scope, author, and maintain processes and tooling.
• Build the Brand Operations discipline from the ground up.
• Design and implement operational workflows to improve visibility, prioritization, intake, approvals, handoffs, timelines, and overall process hygiene.
• Evaluate, implement, and continuously optimize tools for project management, asset workflows, collaboration, review cycles, and team planning.
• Establish frameworks for AI application across Brand operations.
• Author, document, and manage team processes for clarity and repeatability.
• Track operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Serve as the central owner of Brand team process clarity.

Qualifications

• Experience in brand operations, creative operations, program management, or workflow design.
• Advanced, hands-on experience applying AI tools and automation to operational workflows.
• Proven ability to partner with technical teams for process and tooling solutions.
• Strong operational instincts to translate ambiguity into clear processes and documentation.
• Experience managing tools that support collaboration, project tracking, and creative workflow management.
• Excellent judgment regarding process value versus friction.
• Strong communication skills for clarity, alignment, and accountability.
• A systems mindset with a high bar for organization and continuous improvement.
• Availability to operate on or closely aligned with PST hours.
• Experience standing up a new operational function within a growing organization.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled workflow tools and creative operations tooling.
• Experience supporting brand, design, or marketing teams with complex stakeholder environments.
• Ability to define success metrics and measure operational impact over time.
• Experience developing governance models, team rituals, and process documentation at scale.
