[Hiring] Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison @Biogen

Role Description

We are seeking an Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison Rheumatology (East), to execute strategies and tactics for our Rheumatology Franchise, across our immunology portfolio. This position reports into the marketing organization, focused on building, implementing and executing field-based tactics that support educational goals and the appropriate use of product therapy with HCPs, their staff, and the caregiver/patient community. As a field-based role within US Marketing, this individual will be responsible for defined activity within the individual assigned region as well as supporting programs throughout the country and interfacing regularly with internal colleagues across multiple departments. The position requires a flexible work schedule (including nights and weekends) and travel up to 80%.

What You’ll Do

• Lead cross-functional planning and execution of advisory boards
• Capture insights from targeted customers within the assigned territory, through 1/1 meetings, roundtable discussions, and congress activities
• Serve on cross-functional brand sub-teams to provide internal and external customer perspective
• Provide competitive intelligence gained through targeted customer meetings
• Partner with HQ to develop compelling promotional content, particularly as it relates to presentation materials
• Manage vendor work as needed (i.e., Medical Education Agency, Meeting Services, etc.)
• Identify and recruit KMEs for content development and other promotional projects (i.e., video shoots, web content, New Hire training, etc.)
• Serve as the KME point of contact for international opportunities
• Develop and support execution of congress plan including industry symposia and HCP engagement strategies
• Coordinate KME Executive Engagement meetings with leadership
• Work with the Program Operations team to manage Speaker’s Bureau requirements (i.e., training, remediation, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
• 7 + years of pharmaceutical or biotech product marketing/commercial experience required
• Rheumatology or immunology injectable drug experience required
• Previous field marketing or related functional experience in marketing, sales or an allied function preferred
• Proven ability to drive results in a challenging and ambiguous market
• Driving is an essential duty of this job; candidates must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record according to Biogen policy to be considered
