Role Description

As a NOC Engineer, you will be on the front line of Comfone's global connectivity services. You will monitor, troubleshoot and resolve incidents across our international roaming and interconnect infrastructure, ensuring our customers stay connected around the clock. This role is ideal for a proactive and entrepreneurial self-starter who enjoys solving technical challenges, taking responsibility, and making decisions in a fast-paced, international environment.

• Own and drive incident resolution by managing technical issues from initial detection through final closure, ensuring customer communication and SLA compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Monitor and protect Comfone's global network services, identifying and responding proactively to alarms, performance degradation and service disruptions.
• Act as the first point of contact for customers, providing technical support, troubleshooting expertise and timely updates during incidents.
• Investigate and resolve service issues across IPX, GRX, SS7, Diameter and roaming-related services in collaboration with internal technical teams.
• Coordinate effectively with 2nd-level support and Service Delivery teams to accelerate issue resolution and minimize customer impact.
• Document incidents, root causes and corrective actions to strengthen operational excellence and prevent recurring issues.
• Contribute to continuous service improvements by identifying trends, risks and opportunities to enhance network reliability and customer experience.
• Take ownership in a fully remote environment, working independently, prioritizing effectively and ensuring high-quality execution without close supervision.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support business-critical services and ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications

• Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in Network Operations, Technical Support, Service Assurance or NOC environments, ideally within telecommunications, roaming or IP networking.
• Good understanding of IP networking principles, routing, connectivity and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience with telecommunications technologies such as SS7, Diameter, GRX, IPX or related mobile network environments is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform under pressure during critical incidents.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a drive to get things done.
• Comfortable working fully remotely and independently, while collaborating effectively with global teams.
• Excellent customer service mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple incidents, work in a structured manner and remain focused in a fast-moving operational environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Must be located within America time zones UTC -6, -7 or -8.
