Role Description

The IT Manager for Retail Operations will oversee the technology infrastructure and systems that support our retail business in Canada. • Lead and manage the IT department to ensure effective delivery of services and support for retail operations.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for technology infrastructure that align with business objectives.
• Oversee system upgrades, installations, and maintenance of hardware/software used in retail operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery at optimal costs.
• Ensure data security protocols are implemented effectively across all systems used in retail operations.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements or new tools that can benefit the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in IT management roles within the retail industry or similar environments.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception through completion on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, database management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and e-commerce platforms.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams effectively while fostering collaboration across departments.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities.
