Role Description

The Fleet IT Services Analyst delivers technical services and IT project execution, working cross-functionally across the Royal Caribbean Group. The position supports ship, island and shore IT teams and contributes to the continuity of 24/7 fleet operations.

• Supports IT initiatives by assisting with system deployments, upgrades, configuration, and functional testing. [Executing]
• Monitors data transmission flows, system health, and network connectivity to ensure stable technology operations across multiple global environments. [Executing]
• Analyzes recurring issues and operational data to identify trends, improve service reliability, and champions continuous improvement efforts. [Executing]
• Assists with incident response and resolution by coordinating communication between shipboard and shoreside IT teams. Operates as a bridge between engineering/IT groups and operational teams. [Executing]
• Develops and maintains documentation for technical processes, troubleshooting procedures, configurations, and fleetwide IT standards. Assists with training and guidance. [Executing]
• Collaborates regularly with shipboard IT teams and shoreside groups to coordinate service management activities aligned with ITIL practices, including change, incident, problem, and service management processes. [Executing]
• Option for occasional travel assignments to shipyards, dry docks, and in service ships for project deployments or technical service engagements. [Executing]

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• Prior work experience in a professional environment is helpful.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Internal/External Relationships

• Position will engage with multiple Royal Caribbean Group cruise brands, including Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Silversea, Hapag-Lloyd, TUI and Mein Schiff brands.
• Position will work daily with shipboard IT managers and onboard teams, communicating with peers and other internal team managers or directors for the purposes of escalations and updates.
• Some engagement with external vendors may be necessary.

Physical Requirements

• While voluntary, occasional travel may be requested to international shipyards, which may involve navigating industrial environments, uneven surfaces, outdoor elements, and multi-level shipboard spaces.

Working Conditions

• Work is primarily performed in a professional, air-conditioned office environment, seated at a desk and using a computer for extended periods.
• Duties are carried out in office utilizing phone, email, and collaborative communication tools to support shipboard and destination IT operations across multiple time zones.
• The position requires the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, with periodic demands related to 24/7 operational on-site support, including some weekends.
• When traveling, work conditions may vary depending on shipyard schedules, onboard operational needs, and project timelines.
