Role Description

The IT Data Engineer I is an entry-level position within the Enterprise Data department, reporting to a designated team manager. This role supports various functions across data management, data governance, and the enterprise data warehouse, depending on team placement. Responsibilities may include:

• Designing and implementing ETL solutions.
• Developing and monitoring data pipelines.
• Conducting data validations.
• Supporting data quality and stewardship efforts.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Up to 2 years of experience working with data platforms and data warehouses, including development and maintenance.
• Familiarity with data structures and formats such as ANSI X12, JSON, and XML.
• Understanding of ETL processes across data warehouses and integration systems.
• Proficiency with SQL and scripting for data manipulation and querying.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Oracle Cloud.
• Experience with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure DevOps, SSMS, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.
