Role Description

The Integration Developer (CEMI) is responsible for the operational support, maintenance, and enhancement of the institution’s existing Boomi integration portfolio, as well as the design and development of new integrations supporting enterprise system implementations and ongoing business initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring reliable, efficient, and scalable data exchanges across systems.

  • Partner with business stakeholders, IT colleagues, and external vendors to translate functional requirements into technical integration solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in integration and API development.
  • Independently design, build, test, and deploy complex integrations using Boomi or comparable iPaaS technologies.
  • Operate with minimal supervision and proactively manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure the availability and performance of integration services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
  • Strong customer service orientation and organizational capability.

  • Familiarity with project management and business analysis methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, and supporting integrations using the Boomi platform.
  • Experience designing and implementing integrations between large enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft, Workday, and Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in integration and API development, including working with web services (SOAP/REST) and data formats such as JSON and XML.
  • Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, APEX) and web technologies (HTML, CSS).
  • Ability to design, execute, and support unit testing and user acceptance testing processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to learn and apply software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and operational support best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and proactively communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment using project management methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure while managing competing priorities and urgent interruptions with professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education or similarly complex environments.
  • Certified Boomi Developer certification.
  • Familiarity with other integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica, Azure Integration Services).
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of data governance and master data management best practices.
  • Familiarity with API security standards (e.g., OAuth, SSO).
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Demonstrated contribution to knowledge sharing, mentorship, or continuous improvement initiatives.
