Role Description

The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full-time Deputy Chief Information Officer in the Information Services Division. This position is located in Tumwater, Washington, and is not union-represented.

• Position: Deputy Chief Information Officer (IT Policy & Planning Senior Manager)
• Salary Range (11IT): $112,752 - $151,620 (Effective 7/1/2025) | $115,008 - $154,656 (Effective 7/1/2026)
• Base pay will consider internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
• Potential stipends:
  • 5% supervisory pay differential for supervisory roles.
  • 5% King County Location Pay for Seattle office incumbents.
  • 5% Dual Language Requirement Pay for positions requiring dual language skills.

Qualifications

• Fourteen (14) or more years of experience in operations/logistics in a service delivery lead/managerial role or equivalent experience.
• OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (equivalent professional experience can substitute for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis).
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in operations/logistics in a service delivery lead/managerial role or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience with process improvement frameworks (Lean/Six Sigma/COBIT/Agile).
• Experience dealing with sensitive, confidential, or classified information related to security and/or employee investigations.
• Ability to translate strategy and business needs into an executable technology plan.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a team builder with the ability to empower staff.
• Strong collaboration ability to secure project resources and manage risk.
• Experience working in a government setting with knowledge of state and federal IT standards.
• Project Management experience and/or certifications (Agile, Scrum, PMI, etc.).
