[Hiring] AWS Database Engineer @CACI International

Role Description

CACI is seeking an experienced AWS Database Engineer to support application development, database engineering, data integration, analytics enablement, and operational database activities for the GrantSolutions platform. This position supports mission-critical Federal applications and modernization initiatives and requires hands-on expertise across Oracle, PostgreSQL, AWS database technologies, and cloud-based data solutions.

The AWS Database Engineer will work closely with:

• Application developers
• Architects
• DevOps engineers
• Data engineers
• Product Owners
• Scrum teams
• Business stakeholders
• Federal partners

Responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and supporting Oracle database solutions.
• Developing, enhancing, and optimizing SQL, PL/SQL, and PL/pgSQL code.
• Designing, developing, administering, and optimizing PostgreSQL solutions on Amazon RDS.
• Creating and maintaining database migration scripts and automated deployment processes.
• Designing, building, and supporting ETL workflows and data integration pipelines.
• Analyzing complex data models and database schemas.
• Designing, configuring, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting AWS database solutions.
• Implementing and supporting AWS database migration and modernization activities.
• Performing database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Collaborating with various teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.
• Participating in Agile development activities.
• Contributing to CI/CD and DevSecOps initiatives.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Supporting production releases and incident troubleshooting.
• Leveraging AI-powered development tools.
• Identifying opportunities to apply AI and intelligent automation.
• Supporting data governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
• Evaluating emerging technologies to improve platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Oracle database development or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS database solutions.
• Experience with ETL and data integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of relational database architecture.
• Experience supporting enterprise database deployments.
• Experience using source control and application lifecycle management tools.
• Experience using approved AI-assisted development tools.
• Understanding of Responsible AI and cybersecurity.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Experience supporting Federal Government or large-scale enterprise applications.
• Experience with data integration and migration technologies.
• Experience with various enterprise database platforms.
• Experience with cloud, database, or application modernization initiatives.
• Experience with analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud-native application architectures.
• Oracle certifications preferred.
• Experience with modern AI data architectures.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $90,300-$189,600.
