Role Description
The Human Resources Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by completing essential tasks on the Human Resources team.
- Gather information to craft role descriptions
- Screen applicants
- Schedule interviews
- Onboard new interns
- Maintain internal paperwork
- Assist with offboarding
- Participate in other HR-related tasks and projects based on interests
This position is remote, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication. This internship would last until the end of the Spring semester at ONC (April 30, 2025).
Qualifications
- Current student working towards a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and/or related fields
- Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator in a remote environment
- Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines
- Google Workspace experience required
- Experience with data-keeping preferred
- Satisfactory organization skills
- Ability to keep information confidential
- Knowledge of Canva and SignNow a plus
- Ability to attend weekly All-hands meetings
- Ability to attend weekly HR team meeting
- Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
