Job Summary:

This role is the primary point of contact for Human Resources.  Reports directly to the CFO.  This role has a wide range of responsibilities and is looking for someone who is a self-starter that is always eager to be learning and doing more.  Attention to detail, strong work ethic, integrity, positive attitude and confidentiality are core characteristics needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Company recruitment and new-hire orientation
  • Support the analysis and selection of company benefit plans, and handle all the Administration and management of these plans; 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, COBRA, and supplemental plans as well
  • Conduct Company wide open-enrollment for new insurance plan year
  • Create and submit all Federal and State required reports and trainings; EEO-1 reporting, VETS-4212 reporting, Sexual Harassment training, OSHA reporting, ESR reporting, Affirmative Action Plan, Handbook updates, etc.
  • Handle employee relations; hold one-on-one and multiple persons meetings with employees, document all interactions with employees, distribute write-up’s when necessary, create and distribute PIP’s when necessary, etc.
  • Recommend, coordinate and oversee various trainings, whether it be broad group trainings on mandated topics (harassment), or individual trainings to improve work performance
  • Certify and manage all FMLA leaves and other LOA’s
  • Conduct exit interviews and process voluntary and involuntary terminations
  • Organize and administer year-end performance reviews
  • Become part of the feedback loop with functional managers for employee’s concerns about their current role/utilization and future opportunities at ThinKom
  • Act as additional point of contact for building/office needs
  • Organize all Company events – quarterly meetings, summer picnic, holiday party
  • Performs all other duties and functions as assigned


Skills and/or Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR related field preferred, but not required if sufficient HR experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in an HR associate/generalist role desired
  • Spanish speaking is a plus
  • Highly proficient in HRIS systems with an ability to learn how to use new platforms quickly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Problem solver with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Needs to be confident and capable to work alongside Executives, but still able to roll-up sleeves and handle daily grind type work
  • Capable to deliver uncomfortable messages to employees about their performance in an objective, respectful way
  • Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and switching between priorities
  • Enthusiastic and patient with employees
  • Independent, self-motivated worker
  • Strong customer service orientation
Additional Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and hold a US DoD Security Clearance

Physical Demands:
  • This position uses a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data.
  • This position may be subject to frequent or occasional on the job interruptions that may cause a change in immediate priorities and/or work focus.
  • While performing duties of this position, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, and/or bend.
  • May occasionally be required to lift, push, or pull maximum of 50 lbs.
  • May be subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that may be subject to occasional loud noises, hazardous materials and chemicals.

Salary Range: $75k - $110k
