Job Description: Role Summary/Purpose: This position will report to the SVP, HR – Global Service Delivery & Transformation. As the AVP, Human Resources, you’ll support Tech & Ops client groups within the Global Service Delivery & Transformation team. You will be a business partner with a cross-section of leaders and their teams, both exempt and non-exempt, responsible for delivering and implementing human resources programs, procedures and strategies that support business goals and help shape our culture. Essential Responsibilities Guide leaders and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices. Promote a great culture in support of Synchrony’s values, diversity, and flexibility. Work with leaders to design and support meaningful engagement and recognition action plans. Partner with leaders to measure, assess and calibrate talent and performance management. Support learning and development activities. Investigate and advise on employee relations matters and daily support. Liaison with other HR COE areas and/or facilitating employees to appropriate resources such as HR Chat. Support a variety of initiatives across the broad Tech & Ops function focused on building/assessing talent bench strength, pipeline development, succession planning and ongoing talent development. Partner with leaders to identify recruiting needs, develop proactive staffing strategies, build strong diverse slates that lead to the best hires. Manage onboarding and assimilation of new employees. Partner with new leaders and teams on assimilation strategies. Counsel leaders and employees on personal wellness needs including leaves of absence (FMLA/disability) and accommodations. Engage with HR peers across Tech & Ops to drive culture, engagement, consistency and share best practices. Ensure HR compliance in accordance with applicable employment law, state and government regulations and Synchrony policies and procedures. Perform other special project and duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements BA/BS degree in HR, Business, related field or equivalent experience OR in lieu of a degree 7+ years in an HR generalist role inclusive of employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits and administration of policies and procedures. 3+ years in an HR generalist role, or similar role, inclusive of employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits and administration of policies and procedures. 3+ years project management experience. Demonstrated skills in coaching, employee relations and conflict resolution. Experience compiling, analyzing and presenting data. Desired Characteristics: Master’s degree in HR, MBA or related area. Human Resource experience in financial service industry and/or contact center environment. Experience partnering with internal clients virtually. Strong organizational/follow-up skills, ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and deliver high quality service in a fast pace, high change environment. Grade/Level: 11 The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle. Eligibility Requirements: You must be 18 years or older You must have a high school diploma or equivalent You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
