[Hiring] Workday Financials Lead @Meridian Partners

Role Description

Due to continued growth, Meridian Partners is seeking a Workday Financials Lead to lead functional delivery for complex Workday Financials implementations serving public sector organizations.

• Lead one or more Workday Financials functional workstreams through the full implementation lifecycle.
• Facilitate discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support activities.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations aligned with Solution Architecture and Workday best practices.
• Drive workstream deliverables, timelines, issue resolution, and client communication.
• Configure and oversee Workday Financials solutions across one or more functional areas including FDM, Core Financials, Procurement, Grants, Expenses, Banking, or Financial Reporting.
• Conduct design sessions and prototype solutions with client stakeholders.
• Identify configuration impacts across connected Financials processes.
• Support testing, defect resolution, and deployment planning.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for assigned workstreams.
• Build trusted relationships with Finance, HR, Payroll, IT, and project leadership.
• Clearly communicate risks, recommendations, and implementation decisions.
• Balance business requirements with Workday leading practices.
• Produce high-quality configuration documentation, workbooks, and testing materials.
• Ensure adherence to Meridian's delivery methodology and quality standards.
• Escalate risks appropriately and recommend practical solutions.
• Support smooth transition to AMS and post-production support.
• Mentor Consultants and Associate Consultants.
• Review work products and provide coaching.
• Share best practices and reusable implementation assets.
• Participate in estimates, demonstrations, and pre-sales discussions.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding activities.
• Contribute to practice development initiatives and delivery improvements.
• Help expand Meridian's public sector Workday capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday Financials implementation experience.
• Public sector implementation experience preferred (state/local government, higher education, or K–12).
• Active Workday Implementer Certifications with a minimum of two certifications, including Record to Report preferred.
• Strong expertise in one or more of the following:
  • Financial Data Model (FDM)
  • Financial Accounting
  • Procurement
  • Grants
  • Financial Reporting
  • Expenses
  • Banking & Settlements
  • Business Assets
• Experience facilitating client design workshops and managing functional deliverables.
• 3+ years of experience leading functional workstreams through multiple full lifecycle Workday implementations.
• Ability to work standard East Coast hours.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• 100% Remote - must reside within the United States.
• Up to 30% domestic travel.
