Role Description

Scotiabank’s UpLIFTED Women in Finance Development program is a selective program designed for female-identifying, first- and second-year students who have an interest in finance. Our program supports and develops women early in their academic career by providing exposure, insights, and opportunities to learn about finance from experienced professionals.

The development program will run from the beginning of January 2027 to the end of April 2027. During the program participants will be assigned a mentor, have access to targeted workshops to help participants prepare for a career in finance, and have the opportunity to participate in candid discussions about what it means to be a woman in finance.

Program topics may include, but are not limited to:

• Career Pathways Workshops
• Leadership Speaker Series
• Networking and Interview Workshops
• Technical Skills Workshops
• Office Tours (location dependent)

Participants will also have regular 1-1 sessions with their mentors and Scotiabank career advisors.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in any discipline
• Current first- or second-year student
• Passion or interest in learning about capital markets and finance
• Track record of success in academics and extracurricular achievements
• Able to attend mentor meetings and program workshops for the duration of the program
