Role Description
One of Australia’s standout consumer brand success stories is taking its next bold step—expanding into the US and building a global footprint. The Senior Bookkeeper will work closely with the Finance Director to establish and lead bookkeeping operations for newly created US-based joint ventures. Sitting right at the heart of this expansion, you’ll play a key role in shaping how finance is run as the business scales.

Support the opening of multiple venues, building structure, and bringing clarity to a fast-moving environment.

Drive US financial operations, building processes from the ground up.

Provide analysis and commentary on monthly results, identifying trends, and helping the business make better decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related discipline.

5–7+ years’ experience in bookkeeping, finance operations, or a similar role.

Strong end-to-end bookkeeping capability, including reconciliations, invoice processing, and financial record maintenance.

Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-site operations (franchise or high-volume environments advantageous).

Experience with US bookkeeping processes, including payroll and sales tax reporting, is essential.

Prior experience with Restaurant365 is highly regarded; experience with comparable systems will also be considered.

Background in hospitality, food & beverage, retail, or similar multi-venue environments is highly regarded.

Proven ability to work autonomously and take ownership of processes from the ground up.

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders.

Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative and driving outcomes.

Demonstrated ability or readiness to mentor and guide a junior team member.

Comfortable working in an offshore role aligned to US West Coast hours.
Requirements

Manage invoices, reconciliations, and daily financial transactions accurately and on time.

Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities and locations.

Reconcile accounts and ensure completeness and integrity of financial data.

Support month-end close and contribute to timely, accurate reporting for management.

Take ownership of setting up and refining bookkeeping processes for new US venues and ongoing expansion.

Work closely with the Finance Director to build scalable, efficient finance workflows.

Identify priorities, recommend improvements, and drive best practice with a high degree of autonomy.

Assist with US sales tax reporting and other recurring compliance requirements.

Support payroll coordination and reporting for US operations.

Act as a key finance contact for both Australian and US stakeholders.

Support onboarding and mentoring of a junior bookkeeper as the team grows.

Contribute to building a structured, high-performing offshore finance support function.
