Role Description
MoveOn is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive intern to support our Finance and Operations Team. This role provides hands-on experience in multiple realms of work within the team, including:

Budgeting

Contracts administration

Record-keeping

Business compliance
The Temporary Finance and Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the smooth and effective functioning of the Finance and Operations Team. Responsibilities include:

Improving and supporting the annual 1099 issuance process
-
Researching credit card expense management vendors
-
Campaign finance and lobbying reporting
-
Contract processing
-
Invoice processing and payments
-
Supporting organizational governance needs
-
Reviewing company credit card expenses
-
Following up with staff to ensure administrative tasks are completed on time
-
Creating instructional videos and guides for staff on administrative tasks
-
Documenting team workflows and creating step-by-step guides
-
Identifying and implementing improvements to processes within their scope of work
-
Contributing to other administrative and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
-
1-2 years experience in finance, operations, and/or business compliance
-
Experience preparing and issuing annual 1099 forms
-
Comfort working in a fully remote environment
-
Familiarity with Google suite of products, including docs, sheets, drive, etc.

High level of adeptness and confidentiality with sensitive data and information
-
Demonstrated commitment to furthering social justice

Pay for this position is $39.67/hour
