[Hiring] Tax Manager @TSS

Role Description

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Tax Manager to join a fast-growing, innovative professional advisory firm working with closely held businesses. TSS serves clients in a broad range of industries, but our goal for this tax manager is a focus on construction, real estate, manufacturing, and distribution clients. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, entrepreneurial CPA or EA with a team mentality and strong technical accounting and tax knowledge. You will primarily be responsible for reviewing flow-through tax returns and coordinating directly with client support staff. Our position provides a unique opportunity for significant growth within our firm, working directly with business owners and their financial professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ongoing tax planning and coordination of client engagements
• Conduct detailed and technical review of complex federal, state, and multi-state tax returns with an emphasis on flow-through entities
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with our team on client issues that arise and ensure deadlines are met
• Research tax law updates
• Research complex tax issues, provide recommendations to the team, and ensure compliance with regulations
• Assist in team technical skill development
• Continue to foster client relationships and serve as trusted advisor to client’s business office staff by delivering superior services and timely responses

Qualifications

• 5+ years with a medium-sized public accounting firm preparing and reviewing flow-through income tax returns
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Proficient in project management including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and research
• Strong attention to detail
• Integrity within a professional environment
• Team leadership experience is a plus

Preferences

• Experience with CCH Axcess tax, CCH Pfx Engagement
• EA or CPA certification

Location

At TSS, we’ve designed a flexible work structure that enables both teamwork and independence, enhancing our employees’ work experience while promoting personal well-being. This role is based out of either our Keene, NH or remote, with a preference for some in-person capacity. i.e., If located outside of the Keene region, a willingness to travel to meet with clients, as needed, is preferred.
