Role Description
As a Tax Manager (m/f/d), youβll play a central role in establishing modern tax processes and governance structures. Youβll serve as the liaison between Skaylink and Vodafone Group Tax, combining tax expertise with an understanding of processes and international collaboration. Together with Finance, Legal, Commercial, and Management, youβll ensure that tax issues are identified early, resolved effectively, and embedded sustainably within the organization. This role is remote within Romania. If you are based in Cluj-Napoca, you also have the option to work from our office in a hybrid setup.
What Youβll Do with Us:

Develop scalable tax processes, controls, and governance standards from the ground up.

Implement them in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and ensure reliable tax compliance.

Oversee compliance with corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other tax obligations in various countries.

Support the Finance, Legal, Commercial, and Management teams with tax-related issues.

Evaluate contracts, transactions, and new business initiatives from a tax perspective.

Identify, assess, and document tax risks and uncertainties.

Work with external advisors to ensure audit-ready tax documentation.

Stay abreast of changes in tax law and use automation, standardization, and process optimization to continuously develop our tax function.
Qualifications

Successfully completed a degree in finance, accounting, economics, law, or a related field.

Several years of professional experience in corporate tax, international tax, tax compliance, tax advisory, or tax governance.

Familiarity with German tax regulations and a solid understanding of international tax principles.

Ability to establish, optimize, and sustainably embed processes, controls, and governance frameworks within the organization.

Comfortable navigating an international environment with many stakeholders, working independently, and approaching issues pragmatically.

Fluent in both German and English, both spoken and written.

Additional experience with international corporate structures, tax transformation, or process automation is a plus.
