Role Description
We are seeking a full- or part-time Tax Manager to join our growing team and help drive this mission forward. This role is for someone who is genuinely excited about tax strategy, not just tax compliance; who wants to teach their team to think beyond the return; and who measures their own success by the value they create for clients, not just what they file.
The Tax Manager is responsible for the tax department's output quality, capacity, and strategic contribution to the firm. This means owning the full arc from client tax planning through return delivery, leading and coaching a team of tax preparers, and actively driving or delegating tax strategy conversations with clients.
-
Review tax returns for accuracy and alignment with client tax strategy and sign the tax return for filing.
-
Conduct or delegate complex tax research.
-
Hold team members accountable to turnaround and quality standards.
-
Meet with clients on planning and strategy.
-
Know when a return is "done" and resist the pull to over-review.
-
Ship on time and on target.
This role is available full-time or structured as a job share between two part-time professionals.
