Role Description
As a Staff Accountant at GroundTruth, you will support the Accounting and Finance organization in month-end close, reconciliations, compliance, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. You are detail-oriented, organized, and analytical, with a solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting close processes.
You will:

Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries related to compensation, vendor accruals, prepaid accounts, fixed assets, expense allocations, and intangibles.

Prepare P&L and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances for assigned accounts.

Support intercompany reconciliations and assist with elimination entries.

Perform bank reconciliations and own cash management activities.

Support audit and management reporting requirements with accurate and timely deliverables.

Support tax filing requests, business registrations, and other compliance-related activities as needed.

Handle ad hoc requests related to financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, BI, and other cross-functional teams to resolve accounting-related issues.

Participate in cross-team training and coverage planning, ensuring adequate backup and knowledge sharing within the accounting team.

Assist and support other non-month-end ad hoc projects or requests.

Support other functions such as Billing, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable or other unassigned areas when business needs arise.

Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced month-end close environment.

Adopt an AI and automation mindset by proactively identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, automate recurring tasks, and improve accounting process efficiency.
Qualifications

Bachelorโs degree in accounting.

3 years in public company accounting, 1+ years in audit preferred.

Solid understanding of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting close.

Proven ability to connect the dots across processes and systems, identify issues, and implement solutions independently.

High sense of ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, ad hoc requests, and urgent deliverables.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively drive tasks forward.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances and clearly explain financial movements.

Ability to work independently with strong initiative while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.

Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with large data sets.

Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred.

Compensation Package
$80,000 - $100,000 base salary, 10% bonus ($88,000 - $110,000 OTE). The listed salary range is reflective of the cost of labor in the candidateโs location and may vary depending on where the role is filled.
