[Hiring] Staff Accountant @Apostolic Christian HarvestCall

Role Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for a range of AC Ministries, ACCFS and AC HarvestCall accounting and financial duties, which may include:

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Deposits/other banking
• Donor processing/tracking/maintenance
• Payroll processing
• Month end accounting

This role supports the organization’s financial integrity through accurate recordkeeping, reporting and analysis.

The position requires proficiency in accounting software (preferably QuickBooks), Microsoft Excel, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

• Active member in good standing in the Apostolic Christian Church of America, with local elder approval.
• Commitment to serving the full spectrum of ACCA membership across all congregations.
• Support the ACCA Statement of Faith and Statement on Marriage and Sexuality.
• Models a lifestyle and character that reflects Christian values in both personal conduct and professional leadership.
• Collaborative, servant-hearted leadership style.
• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Able to maintain confidentiality in all appropriate aspects of the position.
• Ability to work independently and organize the prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Flexible and adaptable in various situations and when interacting with different personalities.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling) and accounting software (preferably QuickBooks).
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment.
• Meets all legal requirements for employment and authorization to work.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
