Role Description
The Sr. Manager – Financial Reporting will own complex areas of financial close processes, ensure GAAP compliance, provide analytical insights, and drive innovation in healthcare revenue reporting. This role partners with Finance and leadership to align actual results with budgets and forecasts, conduct variance analyses, develop advanced analytics, and optimize revenue cycle performance. The Sr. Manager also ensures data integrity across enterprise sources and leads AI adoption efforts in the Controller's Office, including training, governance, and process integration.
What you will do

Accounting, Analysis, Reporting & Analytics:

Own and execute complex areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including journal entries, accruals, estimates, and reconciliations.

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and GAAP compliance of all financial statements and supporting schedules, particularly in healthcare revenue reporting.

Review general ledger activity to identify unusual trends, variances, or risks and proactively resolve issues.

Partner with FP&A and finance leadership to align actual results with budgets and forecast reporting.

Perform variance analysis and trend analysis across income statement and balance sheet accounts.

Serve as a finance and accounting resource for leadership by supporting ad hoc reporting and analytical requests.

Support annual financial statement audits and provide supporting schedules, analyses, and audit documentation.

Innovation, Automation & Technology:

Oversee the development of dashboards, reporting infrastructure, and advanced analytic models to support financial and operational decision-making.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance across enterprise financial and operational data sources.

Lead the implementation and utilization of Power BI and related business intelligence tools across the Controller’s Office.

Partner with stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into existing business processes.

Support and evaluate the use of large language models (LLMs) and AI-enabled technologies to improve financial analytics, workflow efficiency, and reporting capabilities.

Drive adoption of AI solutions within the Controller’s Office, including training, governance, change management, and operational integration.

Collaboration & Leadership:

Partner with operational leaders, finance teams, revenue cycle teams, and Technology Digital Solutions (TDS) to improve reporting accuracy and operational insights.

Mentor and support accounting and finance staff by providing guidance on financial reporting, analytics, and systems-related initiatives.

Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and customer service.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting.
Requirements

Six (6) or more years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience, including previous management responsibility.

Healthcare finance or healthcare accounting experience preferred.

Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and healthcare accounting principles.

Ability to execute and oversee complex financial close and reporting processes.

Experience developing dashboards, reporting infrastructure, and advanced analytical models.

Proficiency with Power BI and familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools.

Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools, automation technologies, and large language models (LLMs).

Ability to partner with stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into operational workflows.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and trend analysis capabilities.
-
Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to leadership and non-finance stakeholders.

Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a complex healthcare organization.
Licenses and Certifications

CPA - Certified Public Accountant preferred.
Benefits

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $83.98 - $111.27 per hour.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
