Role Description
Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Accounting Manager to support technical accounting, financial reporting, and SOX compliance in a fast-paced environment. This role is based either in Palo Alto, CA or can also be performed remotely. Preference will be given to remote candidates in the CST zone.
This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong U.S. GAAP expertise, public company experience, and advanced SAP knowledge, who thrives in complex, high-accountability environments.

Own and prepare technical accounting memos for complex and non-routine transactions (revenue recognition, leases, accruals, inventory, etc.)

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP

Lead and support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis

Support and maintain SOX compliance and internal control framework, including documentation and testing

Partner with external auditors on accounting positions and audit deliverables

Perform variance analysis and provide clear financial insights

Drive process improvements and close efficiency initiatives

Support and optimize systems, including SAP, FloQast, and LeaseQuery

Manage a team of direct reports
Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

CPA required
-
Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience

Experience in public accounting and/or publicly traded company environment, Big 4 strongly preferred

Experience with U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research

Experience preparing technical accounting memos in a public or audit environment

Experience with SOX implementation, control design and testing

Experience with financial reporting and month-end close
Preferred Qualifications

Advanced SAP experience
