[Hiring] Sr Accountant II @Blue Yonder

Role Description

The part-time Sr. Accountant II will be a key member of the Finance Organization at Blue Yonder Defense Solutions, responsible for providing support to the company's accounting and financial reporting functions 8 to 10 hours per week.

• Assist Financial management with various special projects as needed and directed for 8 to 10 hours per week
• Support the company's accounting and financial reporting functions, including the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Proactively identify, research, and resolve issues relating to accounting and finance assigned duties
• Prepare and maintain accurate and complete records of the company's financial transactions
• Perform various accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis
• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to support financial reporting and analysis needs
• Stay current on accounting principles, standards, and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements as needed
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company's financial records
• Assist with the audit process and provide support to external auditors as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in govcon
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and best practices
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements and reports
• Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on MS Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with accounting systems and technologies is a plus
