[Hiring] Senior Staff Accountant @Risk Strategies

Role Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the monthly accounting cycle, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role involves:

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports for Captives business units
• Overseeing month-end and year-end close processes
• Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Mentoring and guiding junior accounting staff
• Identifying and implementing process improvements
• Working directly with Captive leadership located in California, North Carolina, The Bahamas, and Cayman Islands

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to travel 2 to 3 weeks per year

Requirements

• Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 Annual
• The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
