Role Description
The Senior SAP Finance Consultant is responsible for leading complex SAP Finance solution design, configuration, and implementation activities across multiple functional domains, including:

Asset Accounting

Funds Management
This individual is a recognized Subject Matter Expert, operating with minimal oversight, owning SAP Finance workstreams or key solution components, and serving as a trusted functional authority within project teams and with client stakeholders.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or related field and 5-7 years of relevant SAP Finance functional experience, including complex configuration and implementation responsibilities; or no degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated expertise in implementing and supporting SAP Finance solutions across multiple functional domains (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Funds Management).

Proven ability to solve complex problems with multiple variables and to lead defined SAP Finance workstreams with minimal supervision.

Strong experience coordinating across functional, technical, and architectural teams to deliver integrated SAP solutions.

Experience leading complex testing efforts and stabilizing SAP Finance solutions through go-live.

Ability to obtain a Government clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Requirements

Designs and improves finance business processes through detailed system analysis, identifying risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities.

Serves as the primary functional authority for assigned Finance scope, guiding solution decisions and resolving complex functional issues with multiple variables.

Coordinates across solution architects, developers, BASIS, middleware, portal teams, and business analysts to deliver integrated SAP Finance solutions that meet functional, technical, and compliance requirements.

Defines and manages comprehensive test strategies and leads large, complex test efforts, including integration testing, user acceptance testing support, defect management, and stabilization activities.

Oversees maintenance, sustainment, and enhancement activities for SAP Finance modules, including evaluation of change requests, impact analysis, and recommendations for solution approaches.

Ensures interfaces and integrations with other SAP and non-SAP applications function correctly and support end-to-end financial processes.

Provides informal coaching to junior consultants through knowledge sharing, review of deliverables, and guidance on SAP Finance configuration and consulting best practices.

Prepares and maintains high-quality functional documentation, including design decisions, configuration rationales, test evidence, and user-facing materials.

Travels to client sites to provide onsite support (25-50%), varies depending on client needs.
