Role Description
As a Senior Retirement Plan Administrator on the Retirement Services team, youβll play a pivotal role by performing plan compliance testing and reporting on 401(k) and 403(b) qualified plans and preparing all IRS and DOL (EBSA) required reports, including Form 5500 and related schedules for all plans in a timely manner with exceptional quality. You will also be responsible for completing year-end and mid-year non-discrimination testing for clients as required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities:

Lead compliance testing and administration for 401(k) and 403(b) plans, ensuring adherence to IRS and DOL regulations, including eligibility, contributions, and non-discrimination requirements.

Prepare and file all required regulatory reporting (e.g., Form 5500 and related schedules) with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and timeliness.

Conduct mid-year and year-end non-discrimination testing, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions to maintain plan compliance.

Draft, restate, and maintain plan documents and amendments, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.

Partner with clients to deliver plan administration and consulting support, including interpreting plan provisions, advising on design effectiveness, and guiding compliance decisions.

Manage core plan operations such as data validation, asset reconciliation, trust accounting, distributions (loans, hardships), and year-end valuations.

Serve as a subject matter expert, resolving complex compliance and operational issues across clients, internal teams, and external partners.

Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior team members, supporting team effectiveness, knowledge sharing, and high-quality service delivery.

Communicate complex regulatory requirements and testing outcomes in a clear, actionable manner to clients and non-technical stakeholders.

Proactively identify, escalate and resolve sensitive plan, compliance, or client issues, partnering with internal teams to ensure strong client outcomes and retention.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or a related field.

10+ years of related retirement plan or Plan Document experience required.

Familiarity with Datair and Relius preferred.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks, and meet deadlines in connection with business operations, including ERISA compliance matters.

Involvement or work towards QKA designation.
Requirements

The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $70,300 - $93,700.

Final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions.

This role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
