[Hiring] Senior Manager, Strategic Finance, Commerce Go-to-Market @Block

Role Description

The Go-To-Market Strategic Finance team partners with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Revenue Operations, Product, and Data to shape how we invest in growth. As Senior Finance Manager, Commerce Go-to-Market, you will partner with the Global Head of Revenue for Cash App, Afterpay, and Clearpay. You will lead financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and investment analysis for the organization.

• Serve as the primary finance partner to Commerce go-to-market leaders, supporting day-to-day decisions and long-term strategy.
• Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and ongoing performance management across revenue, gross profit, headcount, operating expenses, and key commercial metrics.
• Build driver-based forecasts that connect pipeline, conversion, sales capacity, productivity, pricing, product adoption, transaction activity, and retention to financial outcomes.
• Evaluate investments across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, channels, and customer segments using business cases, scenario analysis, and return-on-investment frameworks.
• Prepare concise, decision-ready materials for senior leaders and company planning processes.
• Lead and develop finance team members while remaining directly involved in the team’s highest-impact analyses and deliverables.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in strategic finance, financial planning and analysis, sales or go-to-market finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related analytical role.
• Experience partnering with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Revenue Operations, or another commercial organization.
• Experience leading financial planning and performance analysis, with strong modeling skills across forecasting, resource allocation, scenario analysis, and investment returns.
• Strong analytical ability, experience working with complex models, large datasets, and analysis tools (SQL, Python).
• AI-fluency including analysis, insight generation, process automation and improvement.
• Experience in payments, financial technology, merchant services, marketplaces, commerce, or another transaction-based business is helpful.
• 2+ years of people-management experience, including coaching and developing finance professionals.
