[Hiring] Senior FP&A Analyst @Trustwell

Role Description

As the Senior FP&A Analyst, you will be responsible for driving financial analysis and strategy as well as preparing the monthly forecast and annual budget. You will provide leadership with analytical support and guidance on key business decisions, finance issues, and projects. Success in this role will be measured by forecast accuracy, quality of financial insights provided to leadership, process improvements implemented, and contribution to strategic growth initiatives.

• Prepare monthly reporting packages for CFO and PE submission
• Support forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and strategic projects
• Maintain and enhance financial planning models, reporting infrastructure, and dashboards across NetSuite, Maxio, Salesforce, Tableau/Power BI, and Excel
• Facilitate execution of monthly forecasts inclusive of headcount, operational, and capital expenditures
• Analyze and report on key SaaS operating metrics including ARR, MRR, NRR, churn, CAC, CAC payback, LTV, Rule of 40, and gross retention
• Partner with Revenue Operations and Sales leadership to evaluate pipeline, bookings, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation technologies to improve reporting efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and financial analysis processes
• Prepare financial business case recommendations to optimize costs and communicate proposals to senior leadership team
• Develop financial models, diagnostic tools, or even new analytical methods to identify trends, interpret results, and optimize profit
• Support preparation of Board of Directors, lender, and private equity investor reporting packages
• Assist leadership in evaluating strategic initiatives, capital allocation decisions, and acquisition opportunities
• Present project results, recommendations, and solutions to all levels of leadership
• Monitor variances to plan throughout the year, forecasting results and present findings to appropriate parties
• Coordinate with all levels of leadership, and various departments to assess needs for financial information, and developing reports, analyses, and tools to meet those needs
• Continuously looking for and identify opportunities in the business and present recommendations to leadership
• Educate non-finance partners of business concepts and increase the business acumen of departmental leadership
• Utilize multiple sources of data to extract, analyze, and report on various items including Sales, ROI on a project, and G&A spend, presents findings and makes their own recommendations on next steps
• Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications

• Basic GAAP accounting knowledge
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively organize and manage priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of and the ability to proficiently use a PC along with MS Office Suite software
• Exceptional Excel skills
• Experience with ChatGPT Pro, Maxio, Tableau/PowerBI, NetSuite, Salesforce, & SQL a plus
• Ability to extract and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and make actionable recommendations
• Has a proactive mindset that always looks for and comes forward with solutions whenever faced with setbacks or challenges
• Ability to perform ROI, profitability and variance analyses
• Working knowledge and experience in planning, forecasting, and budgeting
• Skill at presenting financial data to various levels of leadership
• Ability to quickly react and respond to changes in projects or the business
• Ability to manage financial data in a confidential and professional manner
• Minimal travel

Education/Experience

• B.A./B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; or an equivalent in education and experience
• 4-7 years FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or related experience, with at least 2 years supporting SaaS businesses
