[Hiring] Senior Financial Reporting Analyst @Sprout Social

Role Description

Sprout Social is looking to hire a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join the Finance team.

As a member of Sprout’s finance team, you’ll help better position Sprout for future growth while maintaining compliance and integrity at the highest level. Our team values transparency and direct ownership of responsibilities.

What you’ll do

• Assist in the preparation of Sprout’s SEC filings, such as 8-Ks, 10-Qs and 10-Ks, including the associated XBRL tagging requirements.
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and other disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Create underlying workpapers and analyses to support the company’s disclosures and prepare the disclosure checklist.
• Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders, including Legal, Investor Relations, Finance and Accounting, to complete Sprout’s SEC filings.
• Ensure SOX compliance throughout our financial reporting and related processes.
• Interface with external auditors and facilitate their procedures over Sprout’s SEC filings.
• Perform ad hoc disclosure benchmarking research of peer group companies.
• Prepare share-based compensation entries and reconciliation for month-end close and provide equity-related analysis.
• Utilize artificial intelligence to enhance Sprout’s financial reporting and technical accounting processes.
• Participate in other technical accounting and SEC reporting workstreams and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent business degree.
• 2-5+ years of relevant industry or public accounting experience.

Requirements

• CPA license or actively working towards obtaining license (preferred).
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure and reporting requirements (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with SEC reporting software a plus (e.g. Workiva).
