Role Description

This hands-on role will lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions while partnering with teams across the organization.

Location: Los Angeles, CA or Remote (U.S.)

Position: Full-Time

Reports to: CFO

Salary Range: $95,000–$110,000 annually, depending on location and experience

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations and Development staff to support accurate budgeting and reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses and cash flow projections.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support organizational planning and long-range financial strategy.
• Monitor spending against grant and program budgets.
• Prepare financial reporting materials and schedules for government, corporate, and foundation grants.
• Implement FP&A software and build out budgeting processes and reports.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and board-specific reporting.
• Assist with audit readiness by preparing and updating supporting schedules and analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent combination of education and relevant finance experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting.
• Prior experience working in a nonprofit.
• Understanding of grant budgets and restricted funding, including the analysis and reporting of government, corporate, and foundation grants.
• Technology savvy with advanced knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and reporting software and the ability to work with financial data across multiple systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expert-level Excel skills working with complex workbooks using formulas, macros, and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights.
• Experience with Sage Intacct.
• Prior experience in nonprofit finance, including fund and grant budgeting and monitoring.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated, resourceful, and flexible, with a positive attitude.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
