[Hiring] Senior Financial Analyst @Group PMX

Role Description

We are seeking 2 remote Financial Analysts to work at the Port Authority of NY/NJ to support the Budget team. Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to the following:

• Review and analyze monthly the department’s financial performance.
• Help prepare the annual budget for the Capital, operating and overhead funded programs.
• Prepare and coordinate monthly the department’s consultant accruals by verifying supporting documentation related to the Purchase Order.
• Analyze month end postings for accuracy and financial variances.
• Prepare and submit charge code reclassifications.
• Research and prepare ad hoc project data reports.
• Validate adherence to charge code guidelines for all construction and consultant expenditures.
• Prepare and track the department’s deferred projects and corresponding amortization schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in complex financial analysis and reporting, budget forecasting and data analysis within a large organization.
• Proficiency in PC applications (Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to SharePoint, Lists, etc.)
• Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros/VBA, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience using SAP financial modules, Peoplesoft, Oracle Essbase and Hyperion with SmartView software applications.
• Ability to reconcile financial data.
• Ability to work with large datasets.
• Knowledge of GASB accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience working independently.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies.

Salary: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year.
