Role Description

The Senior Finance Systems Analyst leads WES’s finance technology environment by administering, optimizing, and improving the systems that enable accounting, treasury, investments, reporting, and finance operations. Reporting to the Senior Director of Transformation, this role serves as a key finance systems partner for Sage Intacct and related platforms, helping ensure systems are reliable, well-controlled, integrated, and aligned to finance process needs. The role supports system configuration, user access, workflows, reporting, testing, documentation, vendor coordination, and process automation across finance systems.

This role also partners with Finance, IT, external vendors, and system users to improve data quality, strengthen controls, reduce manual work, and deliver scalable global finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer Sage Intacct and related finance systems, including configuration, module support, workflow setup, reporting enhancements, user access, role permissions, and ongoing system updates and optimization.
• Lead and support integrations across finance and enterprise systems, including Salesforce, payroll, procurement, banking, reporting, and other finance-related platforms, ensuring data accuracy, process alignment, and system stability.
• Oversee finance system data integrity by monitoring data flows, validating system outputs, supporting reconciliations, and helping ensure accurate information for accounting, treasury, investments, and financial reporting.
• Drive finance systems optimization and automation initiatives, including workflow improvements, testing, reporting enhancements, process efficiency opportunities, and reduction of manual spreadsheets or journal-entry workarounds.
• Manage ERP user roles, permissions, access governance, system-based controls, segregation of duties, and audit-ready documentation within finance systems.
• Coordinate with external vendors, implementation partners, IT, and finance stakeholders to support system changes, issue resolution, integration maintenance, testing, and user adoption.
• Provide system support and training to finance users, including troubleshooting, guidance on system functionality, executes new implementations, and delivers reporting, and process tools.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, checklists, user guides, system documentation, and process documentation for finance systems and related workflows.
• Support BI, dashboard, and reporting development by coordinating finance requirements, data definitions, reporting needs, and recurring management or operational reporting improvements.
• Establish and support data controls, including data quality monitoring, process documentation, reporting governance, audit readiness, and compliance support for finance systems and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, information systems, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years of experience supporting finance systems, ERP platforms, finance technology environments, system integrations, or finance transformation initiatives.
• Strong functional knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct, with experience supporting configuration, workflows, user access, reporting, testing, and system optimization; Sage Intacct administration or certification preferred.
• Understanding of finance and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial close, reporting, controls, and data integrity.
• Experience working with external implementation partners, consultants, technology vendors, IT teams, and finance users to support system changes, integrations, issue resolution, and user adoption.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with ability to translate finance operational needs into system functionality and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic team environment.
