Role Description
Our client is an end-to-end B2B SaaS platform delivering specialized workforce management software designed for operational precision across scheduling, compliance, time tracking, invoicing, and payroll. Operating in a high-volume, multi-entity environment undergoing rapid international expansion and strategic acquisitions, the organization is bringing its core finance operations fully in-house to support scalable long-term growth. Working closely with executive leadership, this critical role goes beyond traditional accounting to take complete ownership of financial consolidations, month-end close optimization, SaaS performance metrics, and commercial analysis. We are seeking a proactive leader with a Financial Controller mindset who can independently challenge assumptions, eliminate operational bottlenecks, and bring clear financial visibility to strategic executive decisions.
Responsibilities
-
Financial Close, Reporting & Multi-Entity Consolidation:
-
Take end-to-end ownership of the month-end close cycle, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting.
-
Lead the strategic transition of financial close and reporting activities from external advisers to the internal finance function.
-
Audit and streamline close workflows to significantly reduce month-end closing timelines from 2β3 weeks.
-
Prepare accurate, consolidated profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports across multiple domestic and international entities while maintaining audit-ready documentation.
-
Management Accounting & Commercial Analysis:
-
Deliver monthly management accounts supported by deep, commercially relevant commentary on business performance and profitability drivers.
-
Perform budget-versus-actual and month-on-month variance analyses, actively investigating root causes rather than merely reporting numbers.
-
Develop, maintain, and refine annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and multi-entity cash flow projections.
-
Partner with executive leadership to evaluate operational margins, identify financial risks, and translate complex financial data into actionable growth strategies.
-
SaaS Performance Metrics & Revenue Recognition:
-
Track, analyze, and report on key SaaS metrics, including MRR, ARR, churn, customer retention, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and customer lifetime value (LTV).
-
Reconcile complex subscription, recurring billing, and usage data with core management accounts in full alignment with revenue recognition principles.
-
Acquisitions & Process Transformation:
-
Support post-acquisition financial integrations, harmonizing accounting policies, chart of accounts, and financial frameworks across acquired businesses.
-
Audit existing financial workflows, identify manual bottlenecks, and implement modern automation tools and robust internal controls.
-
Coach and uplift existing bookkeeping and operational finance team members, establishing clear procedures, responsibilities, and reporting deadlines.
