Role Description

The Senior Director, Investor Relations serves as the company's primary liaison to the investment community and a strategic advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors on investor sentiment, market perceptions, valuation drivers, and capital markets trends. This leader owns the company's investor relations strategy and external investment narrative, translating technology roadmap, software and platform capabilities, business strategy, and financial performance into a compelling investment thesis that strengthens investor confidence and supports long-term shareholder value creation.

The Senior Director builds and maintains relationships with investors, analysts, rating agencies, and other key stakeholders, while bringing external market intelligence and investor perspectives back into the organization to inform enterprise decision-making. The role partners closely with Finance, Strategy, Legal, Communications, and business leaders to ensure clear, consistent, credible, and transparent communication with the investment community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's investor relations strategy, ensuring the investment community has a clear understanding of the company's strategy, performance, growth opportunities, transformation priorities, and long-term value creation objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors on investor sentiment, shareholder expectations, ownership trends, valuation drivers, capital allocation perspectives, market dynamics, and emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and continually evolve the company's investment thesis and external financial narrative, translating complex technology, product architecture, software and cloud business models, and technical differentiation into clear value drivers for tech-focused investors and analysts.
  • Ensure consistency and compelling articulation of the company's strategy, competitive differentiation, financial performance, and long-term value proposition across investor-facing communications.
  • Develop and execute a proactive investor targeting and engagement strategy, building strong relationships with existing and prospective technology and software sector portfolio managers, tech-specialist equity analysts, sell-side analysts, rating agencies, and broader capital markets stakeholders.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize market intelligence, including investor feedback, analyst perspectives and models, peer and competitive performance, valuation trends, shareholder composition, and broader capital markets developments.
  • Lead the company's investor-facing communications and engagement, including quarterly earnings materials and calls, investor presentations, Analyst Days, conferences, roadshows, shareholder outreach, annual meeting support, and other high-profile investor interactions.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Communications, Strategy, and business leaders to ensure accurate, transparent, consistent, and compliant investor communications and public disclosures.
  • Shape investor communications around significant strategic and business transformation initiatives, translating complex enterprise changes, strategic transactions, and capital allocation decisions into clear and credible external narratives.
  • Monitor shareholder composition, governance trends, analyst coverage, trading dynamics, and capital markets developments, advising leadership on potential implications for enterprise value, investor confidence, and the company's market positioning.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Investor Relations function, establishing strong capabilities, processes, performance measures, and best practices.
  • Operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor, personally driving high-quality analysis, executive messaging, presentations, earnings preparation, and investor communications when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 12 years of progressive experience in Investor Relations, Finance, Treasury, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Strategy, or a related capital markets discipline.
  • 5 years of leadership experience within Investor Relations, Finance, Capital Markets, or a related function.
  • Significant public-company Investor Relations experience, including direct involvement in earnings, investor and analyst engagement, public disclosures, and executive preparation.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, valuation methodologies, financial statements and performance metrics, investor expectations, shareholder engagement practices, tech/software valuation metrics, and capital allocation considerations.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, Regulation FD, disclosure requirements, securities laws, and public-company reporting obligations.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial, strategic, competitive, and market information and translate it into a clear and compelling investment narrative.
  • Proven ability to establish credibility and influence with investors, analysts, executive leadership teams, and Boards of Directors.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, analytical rigor, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in high-visibility situations.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to represent the company effectively with investors, analysts, rating agencies, and other external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or other relevant advanced degree or professional designation.
  • Experience leading Investor Relations for a publicly traded company.
  • Experience within telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, or other capital-intensive industries.
