Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Director, Managed Services, we are hiring a Senior Consultant, Managed Services, also known as a Senior Review Appraiser. As our new Senior Consultant, Managed Services, you will:

Review institutional appraisals for institutional-grade commercial real estate, assessing whether the valuation theory, methodology, assumptions, and supporting analysis are accurate and reasonable.

Examine key inputs such as cap rates, discount rates, and other factors that influence valuation conclusions.

Use your commercial real estate appraisal expertise to identify questions, inconsistencies, or areas requiring further support.

Contribute to the review of appraisals across approximately 50 real estate funds supporting TIAA-Nuveen.

Work with Senior Managers, the Senior Director, and other internal stakeholders to discuss appraisal findings, clarify valuation considerations, and support review priorities.

Clearly document and communicate questions, observations, and conclusions arising from your appraisal reviews.

Support the integration of AI and process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and decision-making.
Qualifications

3β5 or more years of experience reviewing appraisals for institutional-grade commercial real estate.

State Certified General Appraiser license and on track to achieve the MAI designation through the Appraisal Institute.

Daily or weekly experience using Argus Enterprise; practical fluency with the platform.

Strong understanding of commercial real estate valuation, including cap rates, discount rates, and market conditions.

Ability to evaluate complex information and form well-supported conclusions.

Clear communication skills and effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

Undergraduate or graduate degree in real estate, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field is an asset.
