[Hiring] Senior Bookkeeper @Remote Recruitment

Role Description

Remote Recruitment is hiring a remote Senior Bookkeeper to support a UK-based employer from South Africa. You'll own the day-to-day books and make sure the numbers are clean before they reach the accountant. This is a fully remote role working 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).

• Maintain the general ledger and post journals accurately
• Run bank, supplier and customer reconciliations each month
• Manage VAT records and prepare returns for review
• Produce month-end reports and management accounts packs
• Support the accountant at year-end and keep audit trails tidy

Qualifications

• Solid bookkeeping experience up to trial balance
• Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
• Confidence with spreadsheets and reconciliations
• Clear written and spoken English
• A reliable home internet connection and quiet workspace
