Role Description
KBF is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Advisory Services team. The KBF Advisory team provides professionals with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the year to help build invaluable skills and experience. Research and analyze complex GAAP technical issues (e.g., revenue recognition, business combinations, lease accounting, debt/equity classification, stock-based compensation) and draft position papers/technical memos.

Assist clients with SEC reporting requirements, including 10-K/10-Q preparation, and S-1/registration statement support.

Support clients through IPO readiness, technical accounting due diligence, and purchase accounting for M&A transactions.

Communicate with clients to develop and maintain strong client relationships and ensure the efficient information flow from the client to the advisory team.

Proactively manage project deadlines to ensure delivery of work products based on client expectations and deadlines while ensuring overall quality standards.

Coach and review the work of Associates/Interns, providing technical feedback on research and memo drafting.

Collaborate with Partners and Managers on engagement status, technical conclusions, and client communications.

Stay up to date with current accounting principles and industry-specific knowledge.
Qualifications

Must have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.

Must have completed the necessary academic credit hours to sit for the CPA exam.

Minimum of 2 years in an Associate level position in public accounting and have reached the title of Senior Associate (or equivalent experience).

Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP with experience researching and documenting complex accounting issues.

Strong financial reporting and SEC reporting skills.

Demonstrated supervisory experience and proven ability to oversee engagements to meet client deadlines.

The estimated current salary range for this role is $105,000 to $125,000.
