Role Description
The Senior Analyst, Workday Financials is a critical, high-impact role at Brown University, serving as the primary Workday functional and technical expert for the Workday Financial Management suite. This role blends deep hands-on configuration expertise with a positive, collaborative partnership style across Finance, Payroll, Procurement, Projects, Post-Award Grant Accounting, and Budgets.

Design and maintain robust financial configurations that ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Workday best practices.

Champion the Workday Financials roadmap, driving feature adoption and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiency and data integrity across the Universityโs financial operations.
Qualifications

Bachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

3โ5 years of direct, hands-on experience configuring Workday Financial Management (Core Financials, Projects, Post-Award Grants, Procurement).

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, Uniform Guidance, etc.) and how they map to Workday configuration.

Demonstrated proficiency in Workday reporting.

Experience collaborating with external technical teams on integration requirements.
Requirements

Expertise with Workday Finance configuration.

Ability to translate business and accounting requirements into effective Workday BP designs.

Knowledge of Workday Strategic Sourcing and Workday Procurement a plus.
