Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to serve as a key contributor to our mission. This role owns essential accounting functions, including:

• Maintaining the general ledger
• Overseeing the Procure-to-Pay process
• Administering payroll
• Supporting audits

The Senior Accountant will collaborate across teams to strengthen financial systems and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is committed to accuracy, teamwork, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in public accounting, including a Big Four firm, or in a corporate accounting role
• Ability to evaluate accounting processes and develop, recommend, and implement effective procedures
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong understanding of internal control principles (SOX)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and collaborate effectively across teams
• Strong Excel skills for preparing reconciliations, analyzing financial data, and supporting financial reporting
• Must have excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Aptitude and motivation to learn and assume new responsibilities
• Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to accuracy and ownership
• Goal oriented team player who collaborates effectively, manages priorities, and delivers work on time
• Demonstrated commitment to responsive, professional customer service for internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize effectively and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (preferred)
• Experience with NetSuite (preferred)
• Background in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector (preferred)
• Experience working in a startup environment (preferred)

Benefits

• Salary: $126,000 to $154,000
