[Hiring] Senior Accountant @Driven Brands Inc.

Role Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of accounting processes including:

• Vendor payments
• Member contracts
• Cash matching
• Journal entries
• Account reconciliations
• Month end reporting
• Ad hoc requests

This role will report directly to the Senior Manager of Accounting.

How you will Own It:

• Take ownership of assigned GL accounts and ensure accuracy, understanding, and consistency of application and compliance with GAAP.
• Ensure vendors are paid timely and acquire adequate documentation for controls purposes (Invoice, approvals, W-9s, Bank letters, etc.).
• Match cash activity during the month, including matching member payments coming in and vendor payments going out, along with transfer and sweep activity.
• Perform various/month end/quarter end close activities to meet accounting close deadlines, including journal entry preparation and submission and preparation of appropriate support.
• Reconcile and maintain the integrity of the assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Create, upload, and modify accounting entries into the accounting system and maintain workpapers in accordance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
• Document internal controls surrounding the tasks performed to ensure completion of the close checklist.
• Establish productive relationships within the accounting team and other departments.
• Provide accurate and timely responses to requests from internal customers including accounting, finance, and operations.
• Assist with member contracts, including ensuring the accuracy of billing contracts and answering questions about member accounts.
• Assist with other ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience obtaining and analyzing data from an ERP system (SalesForce and Oracle experience preferred, but not required).
• Proficient with Excel (including experience with pivot tables).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Effective time management of schedule.
• Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well on a team, and a positive disposition.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Oracle Cloud Experience.
• SalesForce experience.
• Active CPA license, pursuing CPA.
• Knowledge of US GAAP Standards and SOX Compliance.

Benefits

• Compensation Range: $70,200.00 - $125,400.00 (Annual).
• Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
