[Hiring] Senior Accountant @The Center for Action & Contemplation

Role Description

The Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) is looking for a thoughtful, collaborative, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This is more than a traditional accounting role. As CAC continues to evolve, we're reimagining how our Finance team operates, creating an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes, bringing fresh ideas to the table, and helping build scalable financial operations.

You'll partner closely with our Controller and Accounting team to support:

• Payroll
• Month-end close
• Reconciliations
• Day-to-day accounting operations

You'll also serve as a trusted resource to our AP and AR specialists, helping ensure our financial processes are accurate, efficient, and positioned to support CAC's long-term mission.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations
• Experience processing payroll
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• Experience working in a nonprofit organization (Nice to Have)
• Experience using Sage Intacct (Nice to Have)
• Experience with investment reconciliations (Nice to Have)
• Experience with Rippling or similar payroll platforms (Nice to Have)
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Shopify, Avalara, or PayPal (Nice to Have)
