Role Description
We are looking for a
Senior Accountant
to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, improving processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. In the US - NYC, BOS, ATL are the preferred locations. This role is also open to applicants in Canada or Mexico.
What You'll Help Build

Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management

Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified.

Accounts Reconciliation & Compliance

Perform monthly sales to cash receipts reconciliation.

Perform monthly fulfillment information to sales order for revenue recognition.

Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, inventory, and accruals.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.

Support external audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Process Improvement & Internal Controls

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

Assist in the development and enforcement of internal controls and best practices.

Operational Accounting & Cross-Functional Support

Prepare cash burn reporting semi-monthly.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and revenue recognition.

Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and other teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.

Technology & Automation

Utilize and optimize ERP and accounting software (Netsuite experience preferred).

Support automation initiatives to streamline accounting workflows.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup, consumer technology, or e-commerce environment.

Previous experience in public accounting.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with all levels of management.

Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
