Role Description

This seasonal role offers the chance to contribute to an evolving product and client experience. As a Remote Tax Advisor, you’ll work with clients virtually—critically reviewing AI-supported outputs, applying professional judgment, preparing and validating client returns, and providing tax advice to help deliver an accurate, high-quality client experience.

• Combine tax expertise with technical problem-solving within an AI-enabled tax preparation workflow.
• Critically review AI-supported outputs, validate client information and calculations, and resolve exceptions.
• Communicate with clients through various mediums including chat, secure messaging, phone, or video.
• Analyze tax information provided by clients to deliver a timely and high-quality client experience.
• Demonstrate tax expertise by ensuring an accurate return experience and providing timely responses to client inquiries.
• Research complex federal and state tax issues to ensure client’s tax returns are accurate and complete before filing.
• Help shape ongoing product iterations by testing new functionality and sharing actionable feedback with product and technology partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of prior progressive tax preparation experience.
• Knowledge of tax law sufficient to understand and explain most elements of personal taxation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn unfamiliar software quickly.
• Innovation-minded approach and a growth mindset.
• A home working environment that supports focused client interaction.
• Experience using AI tools with critical thinking to verify accuracy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Internet speed of at least 15 Mbps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enrolled Agent, Attorney, or CPA credentials.
• Knowledge of complex tax situations (foreign income, rentals, small business).

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is $21.59 - $32.40/Hr. Local minimum wage laws apply.
