Role Description
As a Senior Tax Associate at our firm, you will prepare and review Individual, Partnership, and S-Corporation tax returns as well as the corresponding workpapers that support those tax returns. You may prepare and/or review other income tax returns, such as Corporation, Gift, and Trust returns as needed. Senior Tax Associates will also identify missing or incomplete data by conducting initial file reviews and communicate directly with the client, via email, phone, Loom, or Zoom to request these documents.
We are a 100% virtual CPA firm, with our team located across the United States. As a real estate niche-focused firm, we serve Real Estate Investors, Syndicates, and Fund Managers. Our team has a passion for real estate and often owns investment properties themselves.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university

Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, with 3 years experience as an associate recommended

CPA or EA certification preferred
Requirements

Review basic tax returns and supporting documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy

Prepare complex tax returns and supporting documents, including preparing Form 3115 and reporting 1031 exchanges, ensuring completeness and accuracy

Consult with peers, supervisors, and clients - being responsive to their communications (same-day response time, or adhering to external 48-hour times as applicable)

Adhere to professional ethics of the firm and AICPA, including policies regarding client confidentiality

Seek licensing such as EA or CPA

Prepare and/or review documents and response letters to resolve client notices

Assist in various projects throughout the year including, but not limited to, client proposals, rolling forward workpapers, and development of training materials

Attend relevant CPE to develop and enhance technical and process-related skills
