[Hiring] Property Management Accountant @HOA Talent

Role Description

This is an ownership role, not a support role. You'll take full accountability for the reconciliation and financial reporting process across our CAM (Common Area Maintenance) association portfolio — one of the most complex and high-visibility functions in the company. You'll work closely with our Chicago-based accounting team and have a direct line to leadership. This is a remote, night-shift position based in the Philippines.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end reconciliation process for Premier, Onsite, and complex CAM association portfolios
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance
• Record journal entries, categorize transactions, and validate proper classification of expenses and income
• Manage bank loans, lines of credit, special assessments, and reserve transfers with full documentation
• Investigate and resolve complex reconciliation discrepancies, escalating as needed
• Verify invoice documentation and support disbursement request approvals
• Support budget preparation and forecasting activities in coordination with U.S.-based leadership
• Fulfill auditor requests and provide thorough line-item analysis during audit cycles
• Identify and propose process improvements within accounting operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–4 years of general or corporate accounting experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting standards
• Exceptional written and spoken English — you'll communicate directly with U.S.-based leadership and clients
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently
• Based in the Philippines and available to work night shift (~9 PM–6 AM PHT / U.S. Central Time)

Requirements

• Experience with property management accounting software: Vantaca, Buildium, or Caliber
• CPA license or active CPA board passer (PH)
• Prior experience supporting U.S.-based clients in a remote or shared services capacity
• Background in HOA, real estate, or common area maintenance (CAM) accounting
