[Hiring] Property Accountant @Skywings Advisors

Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting activities for real estate clients. The role involves handling month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting while working in a remote setup aligned with US business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities along with required adjustments
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications
• Perform nominal/general ledger scrutiny to ensure accurate financial recording
• Handle balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support financial reporting and analysis for assigned properties/clients
• Participate in remote transitions, client calls, and process discussions
• Prepare and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
• Assist with AR/AP activities as required

Qualifications

• Experience in Property Accounting or Real Estate Accounting (preferred)
• Exposure to lease accounting, rent, tenant accounting, or property financials is an advantage

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts (R2R, GL, reconciliations)
• Hands-on experience in month-end close and journal entries
• Good understanding of accruals, prepaids, and financial statements
• Experience working with ERP/accounting tools (Yardi, Oracle, SAP, etc. preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Good communication skills for client interactions
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
