Role Description
Charger Logistics is hiring a Freight Pricing Analyst to support our growing US commercial operations. You'll own pricing end to end β from fast-turnaround spot quotes on key North American lanes through to contract rate structures and RFP responses. It's a role for someone who can price a load in ten minutes and model a year-long agreement in the same week, always with margin in view.
What You'll Do

Spot Pricing

Analyze and respond to spot freight quote requests across FTL and cross-border lanes (US, Canada, Mexico)
-
Build competitive spot rates using market data, historical lane performance, and carrier cost inputs
-
Collaborate with carrier sales and account management to align spot pricing with available capacity
-
Track win/loss ratios on quoted lanes and contribute to ongoing pricing strategy improvements
-
Contract Pricing and Bids
-
Develop and maintain contract rate structures for customer freight agreements, including base rates, fuel surcharges, accessorials, and lane-specific pricing
-
Partner with Sales and Carrier Sourcing to build pricing proposals for RFPs and bid responses
-
Model the margin impact of proposed contract terms and flag deals falling outside target profitability thresholds
-
Support renewal cycles by analyzing contract performance and preparing renegotiation recommendations
-
Work with Legal and Finance on contract terms carrying pricing implications β fuel escalators, minimum volume commitments, accessorial schedules
-
Analysis, Reporting and Governance
-
Monitor margin performance across spot and contract business, surfacing trends to sales and operations leadership
-
Track lane-level and account-level profitability over the life of a contract, recommending renegotiation when margins erode
-
Maintain lane-level pricing benchmarks and rate cards in the TMS, Excel models, and pricing tools
-
Conduct market benchmarking to validate pricing against spot and contract conditions
-
Monitor contract compliance β ensuring invoiced rates match agreed terms β and resolve pricing discrepancies
-
Support ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting requests
